Systems Engineering at Nutanix
Your Role
- Learn the Nutanix product portfolio, and present to customers in both pre- and post-sales situations, gathering customer requirements and discussing features and benefits
- Help drive customer adoption of the Nutanix Cloud Platform
- Support senior SEs in customer and partner engagements across the entire customer lifecycle.
- Demonstrate features and articulate benefits of Nutanix solutions to influence customers’ purchases to drive business transformation.
- Perform analysis by collaborating with the team, seeking out required information, raising concerns, considering others' perspectives, and articulating recommendations to a broad audience.
- Conduct solution demonstrations, workshops, and Proof of Concept (POC) for customers and partners.
- Size and configure Nutanix solutions according to customer’s unique needs.
- Collaborate with sales counterparts in developing account plans, customer persona coverage models, and proposal creation to recommend and design solutions based on Nutanix offerings.
- Analyze customer data (e.g., telemetry, customer conversations, support cases) to track adoption/consumption and provide guidance and recommendations that will improve the customer experience and increase adoption.
- Build long-term relationships with customers and partners, becoming a trusted and valued resource.
- Communicate customer feedback into the Nutanix ecosystem and advocate customer requirements.
- Gain experience and exposure through various engagements to progress to a field or channel-facing role.
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: 1 to 2 years of related experience in a customer-facing technical role.
- Minimum: New college graduates with technical internship experience or exposure are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills: You can work with a wide variety of people and collaborate with geographically distributed teams, effectively communicating to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong desire to grow to be a technology expert.
- Hands-on technical aptitude and agility to adapt according to market demands.
- Knowledge of application and server virtualization, and cloud services.

- Ability to manage multiple projects, determine project urgency, and execute detailed action plans.
- Ability to perform and execute a flawless proof of concept, which at times will require lifting (up to 50 lb.) servers within the datacenter.
- Travel may be required occasionally as needed but it is not anticipated to be a significant percentage of the time.
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
