Career Opportunities: Delivery Manager (10481)

Requisition ID 10481 - Posted  - Maria St Admin1

About the role

At TasNetworks, we’re transforming the way we deliver services to Tasmanians. We’re looking for a data-focused Delivery Manager to lead the development and delivery of digital products in our data stream—including our business warehouse, data repositories, reporting/visualisation solutions, and large-scale data transfers.

This role is ideal for a data professional with a data product background—someone who understands the technical and commercial side of delivering data solutions. You might come from a pre-sales consulting role, have experience managing data infrastructure projects, or have worked closely with product owners on AI solutions. Your expertise will help us deliver on-premise and hybrid data environments, manage compute power and storage needs, and navigate on-prem to cloud transitions in a data context.

What you’ll do

  • Deliver high-impact digital data solutions that support our business and customers.
  • Manage large data transfers, storage solutions, compute power needs, and infrastructure-style outcomes.
  • Work with stakeholders, suppliers, and vendors to deliver customer-focused results.
  • Lead on-premise and cloud transition initiatives for data environments.
  • Champion best-practice delivery methods and tools for data products.

About you

To succeed in this role, you’ll be an experienced and adaptable data delivery professional with strong leadership and influencing skills, enabling you to deliver outcomes that align with both customer needs and commercial objectives.

You will have:

  • Strong background in data products, data platforms, or infrastructure-focused delivery.
  • Experience working as a product owner or alongside product owners, ideally with exposure to AI-related projects.
  • Ability to navigate on-prem and cloud environments, including data migration strategies.
  • Proven capability in managing large-scale data initiatives and complex technical dependencies.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Commercial awareness and experience negotiating with external partners.
  • Resilience, adaptability, and a focus on delivering the right outcomes for customers.

What's on offer

This is a Fixed Term (12 month) opportunity, offering an attractive remuneration and benefits package.

At TasNetworks we want to power a bright future for our people, our community and our customers. We offer a supportive work environment where safety is at the heart of everything we do.
