Redland City Council is seeking a high-performing Senior Management Accountant – Business Partnering to lead a dynamic team delivering impactful financial analysis, forecasting, and advisory services across the organisation.
Guided by our Values, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive financial support to departments including budgeting, management reporting, forecasting, and capital planning.
- Delivering strategic financial analysis to support executive and operational decision-making.
- Leading financial capability uplift across Council through tailored training and coaching.
- Building strong internal partnerships and acting as a trusted advisor to business units.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives in financial systems, methodologies, and reporting.
- Liaising with community stakeholders and external partners where appropriate.
- Supporting peak workload periods across other finance teams when required.
What we're looking for:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business and eligibility for CPA/CA membership.
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing finance teams.
- Extensive experience in management accounting, reporting, and financial analysis.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Advanced skills using financial systems and tools – experience with Finance One is desirable.
- Understanding of the National Competition Policy (NCP) Guidelines is advantageous
- Understanding of Local Government financial frameworks and regulatory requirements is an advantage but not essential.
