Qualifications

• Current Carrie Busey Special Education Teacher
• Successful experience writing IEP's and Embrace
• Experience facilitating IEP meetings
• Working knowledge of special ed law
• Ability to explain special ed processes and procedures

• The SPED Lead Teacher meets monthly (after school) with all Elementary Sped Lead Teachers for guidance on IEP facilitation, working with families and advocates, curriculum and academic supports, and other special education related matters. Provides assistance to teachers on providing specialized academic and behavioral supports to students, writes and facilitates legally compliant IEPs, and develops and maintains effective communication with families.

• $35.00/hour for Licensed Teachers

• Monthly meetings beginning August 2025 through May 2026, and other hours as needed

• 2025-2026 School Year

• Not to exceed 36 hours/person
• Work must be completed outside the regular work day
• Teachers will not be paid for missed meetings
