Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, strong Finance Director to lead our accounting and finance
operations. This role is pivotal in supporting our continued growth while preserving the cultural
richness that defines us. The Finance Director will oversee a team of four and be responsible for
ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls and full compliance with
GAAP standards. Reporting directly to the Joint CEO this leader will play a key role in shaping
the financial direction of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including supervision,
coaching and development of accounting department team.
Prepare and issue accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial
statements in accordance with GAAP.
Manage treasury functions, including weekly cash projections, bank relationships and
liquidity planning.
Oversee the general ledger, A/P, payroll and financial reconciliations.
Maintain and enhance internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure
process integrity.
Serve as primary liaison with external auditors; manage year-end audit, 401K
compliance and audit and tax filings.
Support the Joint CEOs with financial planning, budgeting and business decision
analysis.
Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal financial regulations.
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and system efficiencies.
Provide financial insights and performance analysis to help drive operational and
strategic decisions.
Leads business and health insurance renewal processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a
leadership role.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting.
Experience working in multi-unit restaurant, hospitality, or retail environments is a strong
plus.
Proven track record of managing teams and mentoring staff.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Hands-on, detail-oriented and adaptable — with a collaborative spirit that matches our
