Cameco Fuel Manufacturing Cobourg is seeking a QV Inspector for Calandria production for various utility refurbishment projects that will continue for multiple Calandria units (approximately five years).

 

Position and Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Variety of inspections including in-process and final
  • Providing accurate reports
  • Work with accurate measuring instruments (micrometer, dial indicators, calipers, thickness gage, borescope)
  • Work safely while following all prescribed work instructions
  • Work shifts (including split) and OT as required
  • Lift and carry tubes (22 kg) 8 to 10 times daily (approx. frequency) – note: all lifts require 2 workers
  • Complete other tasks as requested by Supervisor
  • There may be a requirement to work through a portion, or all summer shut down periods at times to ensure the projects are completed on time.

 

 

Education and Qualifications

 

Requirements of the position:

  • Previous inspection experience
  • Excellent organization, previous report accuracy
  • Knowledge of Calandria tube manufacturing process and inspection requirements
  • Highschool diploma or equivalent

Assets:

  • Experience with SAP
  • Qualification in multiple Calandria inspection operations

  • Pre-employment substance test
  • Criminal Background Check
