McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world.

 

Position and Responsibilities

 

  • Issue materials from mine and outside storage warehouse.
  • Offload incoming general freight and prepare/load material for off-site shipping.
  • Maintain stock records and files on manual and computerized systems.
  • Other duties as required.

 

Education and Qualifications

 

Requirements of the position:

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of one year of direct warehouse experience
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using a handheld device to perform daily warehouse activities
  • Experience with computers and computer software (Microsoft Office suite)
  • Night shift and underground work as required
  • Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft

Assets:

  • Forklift and loader operator certification
  • Experience with SAP
  • Previous training in first aid, WHMIS, and/or transportation of dangerous goods
