The Role

 

alphaNUCLEAR is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cameco that supplies, repairs and calibrates specialized equipment used in uranium exploration, mining and milling for detection and measurement of radiation and radon gas.

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Be responsible for fabrication, repair and calibration of products supplied and serviced by alphaNUCLEAR.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of electronic systems and the ability to perform repairs and modifications to these systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair small electro-mechanical and air sampling devices.
  • Design and fabrication of electronic systems, including PCB and electronic system design.
  • Work with data communication circuitry, data logging equipment and battery-power systems.

Required:  

 

  • Diploma in electronics or instrumentation
  • Two or more years of applicable experience with small electronic and electro-mechanical equipment
  • Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing small electro-mechanical and air sampling devices
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and high-quality work
  • Occasional commute to northern Saskatchewan sites by aircraft

 

Recommended:

 

  • Knowledge of radiation and radiation physics
  • Experience with data communication circuitry, data logging equipment and batter power systems
