Key responsibilities:
- Assisting clinician during examinations in a fast paced environment (i.e. obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature and blood pressure, rooming patients, and performing other related duties according to specific needs of clinic).
- Assisting with scheduling of appointments. This type of interaction requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors and/or hospital employees.
- Collecting, verifying and recording required information according to established procedures and instructions.
- Identifying and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant or Physician.
- Obtaining records, files and/or results for appointments and entering related information on appropriate computer systems.
- Answering, screening and routing telephone calls and performing general office support tasks.
- Providing general support for clinical operations, including stocking, maintaining and ordering supplies and equipment.
- Maintaining safety and cleanliness of work area, ensuring area is compliant with regulatory and hospital policies.
- Transporting patients, supplies and equipment as needed.
- Mon-Fri 6 hour shifts.
Minimum qualifications:
Education:
- A HS Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of Clinical Assistant experience or related healthcare experience.
- Pediatric experience strongly preferred.
