Reporting to the VP of HR, the HR Generalist will have primary responsibilities HR data management, HR compliance and reporting, support of M&A activities, support of onboarding and offboarding activities, and general support of all HR functions. The HR Generalist will perform a variety of professional, technical and analytical human resources activities in support of one or more functions within the HR department.

 Annual Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 

Key Responsibilities

  • Process all HR data request from business units and leadership, including monthly reports to various business units and executive team. 
  • Keeps track of all K2 employee census, business offices and employee working status (i.e.: remote, hybrid, in-office, etc.). 
  • Management of all HR Data housed within HRIS system such as personnel files, and other documents.
  • Processes all Verifications of Employment 
  • Manage the K2 Org Charts
  • Manages all HR compliance initiatives, to include mandatory training such as harassment prevention training, violence in the workplace training, safety training, and other compliance training as needed. 
  • Supports the VP of HR with all M&A data requests and data tracking. 
  • Administrative support of HRIS systems utilized, such as ADP Workforce Now. 
  • Manages all HR compliance reporting requirements, including EEOC and CA Pay Data annual reports. 
  • Manages labor law posters and all other compliance notices as required by law for all K2 employees in the US. 
  • Process all off-boarding activities, including termination notices and requests to IT and coordination with Payroll and business units as needed, and processing of Exit Interviews. 
  • Manages all safety related activities, including administration of company Safety Plan, tracking of Workers’ Compensation claims, etc. 
  • General HR team support in all areas as needed. 
  • Occasional, but minimal, travel required.  Appx 5% - 10% of the time. 

 

 

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Intermediate to proficient skills in the use of various sources of media, to include ability to communicate with staff via video conferencing means. 
  • Proficient skills in general office suite, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat, etc. 
  • Experience with, and ability to quickly learn new systems, such as HRIS systems, online learning platforms, etc. 
  • Experience with data management, and quick turn around of data requests and reports. 
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to work with business unit leaders across all K2 entities. 
  • Position will be primarily remote, must have the ability to work in a dedicated remote environment free of distractions, with ability to conduct employee training and participate in meetings via video conferencing means. 

 

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, or other related discipline required. 
  • HR Certification Human Resources preferred. 
  • Experience working in the insurance industry preferred.
  • 2-3 years minimum experience in a Human Resources role.
