- Develop and maintain architecture frameworks and roadmaps for both IT teams
- Establish enterprise-wide standards, documentation practices, and integration models
- Evaluate new systems for scalability, fit, and alignment with business goals
- Ensure solutions meet operational needs today and remain sustainable long term
- Serve as a technical advisor across both IT teams
- Provide architectural input for infrastructure, integrations, and cloud migrations
- Align platforms across Metis/Focus and SCMG/independent practices
- Work closely with engineers and analysts to drive consistent technical decisions
- Ensure architectural designs meet HIPAA, cybersecurity, and data governance requirements
- Recommend security best practices and participate in vulnerability assessments
- Create and maintain technical diagrams, architecture maps, and design documents
- Share architectural rationale with IT staff, stakeholders, and leadership
- Participate in review boards and technical workgroups
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years in solution design, system integration, or technical architecture
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, security architecture, and enterprise tools
- Experience supporting multi-practice environments, preferably in healthcare
- Strong understanding of enterprise platforms, EMRs/EHRs, and cloud technologies
- Deep technical knowledge with strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to engage effectively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
- Strategic thinker who can influence senior leadership and guide large-scale decisions
- Strong communication skills for translating complex technical concepts
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and security best practices
- Ability to balance immediate execution with long-term planning
- Organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing multiple priorities
