Education: 

High School Diploma or GED required

Medical Terminology Knowledge required

Medical Experience required

Previous Eligibility Experience required

Responsibilities:

• Verifying eligibility and benefits for all patients.

• Assisting reception with any eligibility issues

• Notifying patients and the front desk of any insurance issues and properly documenting as such
  

• Update Case descriptions to ensure that providers have accurate infomation.  

• Confirming if the patient insurance requares a primary care provider that we are listed as the primary care provider.

• Maintaing and organizing pertinant documentation.

• Communicating with the team of status and progress

• Transmit information or documents to customers, using a computer, mail, or facsimile machine.

• Save any eligibility documentation into the patient’s medical chart

• Operate telephone to answer, screen, or forward calls, providing information, taking messages

• Analyze data to determine answers to questions from customers or members of the public

• Any other duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting of patients, manual and finger dexterity, and hand-eye coordination.

• Requires sitting and/or standing for extensive periods of time

• Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds

• Requires corrected vision, hearing, and speech within normal ranges

• Requires working under stressful conditions
