As a Product Engineer I at QuinStar, you'll support the development and production of advanced microwave and millimeter-wave products. In this role, you will work closely with senior engineers across design, manufacturing, and quality teams to contribute to the delivery of reliable, high-performance RF systems for commercial, defense, and aerospace applications.
- Assist in the design and development of RF multi-chip modules, MIC/MMIC-based amplifiers, and subsystems.
- Support product testing, validation, and troubleshooting under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Help prepare engineering documentation, including test procedures, assembly and drawings.
- Contribute to design reviews by gathering data, preparing materials, and participating in discussions.
- Perform basic analysis to support root cause investigations and corrective actions for product issues.
- Aid in the transition of prototypes to production, including support for documentation and process improvements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure product readiness.
- Stay current on industry standards and internal processes to support compliance and continuous improvement.
- Maintain adherence to all company policies, procedures, and safety practices.

- Due to federal contract requirements, U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum of one year in RF, MW, or MMW component design, testing, and development.
- Expertise in micro-electronic circuits, theory, and mechanical design.
- Proficiency in RF theory, design, and relevant software tools.
- Familiarity with Military Standards for RF products.
- Hands-on experience with lab test equipment and circuit verification.
- Proficiency in simulation/design tools (e.g., Spice, HFSS, AWR, Altium, AutoCad, Solidworks).
- Knowledge in Thermal design and analysis skills.
- Experience with tools like LabView, Vee, Python, or Matlab for automation and analysis.
- Knowledge of micro-controller applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Physical Requirements:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
Ability to participate in the following activities for extended durations:
- Ability to stay in stationary position for extended length of time.
- Remove or replace up to 30 pounds.
- Positioning, arranging, or moving items up to certain heights or at ground level.
- Ability to use/work on small parts or tools.
- Ability to move around a Lab, Cleanroom and light manufacturing environments.
- Work using a microscope.
