JOB GOAL: To help serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and friendliness. To fill wants lists for satellite schools and deliver stock, trays and meals to/from satellite schools in a safe and timely manner. To help put up stock and keep store rooms, freezers clean and orderly.
REPORTS TO: Cafeteria Manager, Assistant Child Nutrition Director, Child Nutrition Director
DUTIES:
Assists in food preparation and sets up cafeteria line.
Serves students and staff.
Delivers prepared food and food supplies to assigned schools.
Collect and fill want lists from satellite schools daily.
Wash and clean the truck/van monthly or as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); twelve months related experience and/or training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos and ability to write simple correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have general knowledge of food preparation and facility maintenance. Ability to cooperate in a team effort with other employees.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board policy on Evaluation of Support personnel.
