Position Duties
As a Storage Engineer, you are a technically skilled and reliable professional who excels in managing enterprise storage, virtualization, and system infrastructure across complex, multi-site environments. With deep expertise in EMC storage, VMware, Linux, Windows, and fiber channel networks, you ensure systems are secure, high-performing, and resilient. You bring a detail-driven and analytical approach to capacity planning, disaster recovery, and system optimization, while maintaining clear documentation and collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
What you will do:
- Design, deploy, and manage EMC storage solutions and Brocade fiber channel infrastructure across complex, multi-site environments, ensuring performance, scalability, and alignment with enterprise objectives.
- Implement and maintain enterprise data protection, disaster recovery, and business continuity systems, while proactively managing capacity, forecasting, and system performance.
- Support and secure VMware, Linux, Ubuntu, and Windows systems, handling configurations, access controls, patching, and monitoring to ensure uptime and system integrity.
- Manage system changes with precision, maintaining thorough documentation and ensuring all updates, patches, and configurations are tested, auditable, and supported by clear recovery plans.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5–7 years of specialized experience in EMC and Brocade storage engineering.
- Advanced expertise in SAN/NAS infrastructure, including replication technologies, multipathing, and complex performance troubleshooting with root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell or Python for automation.
