Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the women's basketball summer camp by reinforcing positive attitudes and basketball techniques.
- Assist with teaching skills and techniques in accordance with the philosophies of UH women's basketball coaching staff.
- Assist with coaching and/or officiating of camp games.
- Responsible for evaluating and grading assigned campers at the end of the camp.
- Assist in the set up and breakdown of areas used for camp activities.
- Assist in monitoring and ensuring safety of camp participants.
- Promote a positive and safe learning environment.
- Know, recognize, and comply with the laws, policies, rules, and regulations governing the University of Hawaii and its employees, and the rules of the NCAA and affiliated conferences as now constituted or as may be amended in the future.
- Immediately advises the Director of Athletics or designee if there are reasonable cause to believe violations, whether by employees, students, or others, have occurred or will occur.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience playing or coaching basketball at the collegiate level.
- Know and understand the philosophy of the UH women's basketball coaching staff.
- Ability to teach in a group and individual basketball skills and techniques according to this philosophy.
