Position Duties

Under the direction of the Facility Operations Supervisor, the Assistant Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of recreation facilities, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, and supporting various activities and programs. This role requires strong independent judgment and initiative. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Support the Full-Time Manager on Duty with daily operational tasks, including cash reconciliation, room configuration changes, and responding to management-on-duty calls.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints effectively, both in person and over the phone.
  • Develop proficiency in RecTrac software through provided training. 
  • Prepare event spaces for meetings, classes, programs, and reservations, which includes the physical setup and breakdown of tables and chairs.
  • Proactively anticipate and address guest needs, resolving problems and complaints calmly and efficiently. 
  • Work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by facility operations. 
  • Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility during reservations, classes, and programs.
  • Exercise initiative and professional judgment in all aspects of duty performance. 
  • Provide direct assistance to the Facility Operations Supervisor with various administrative and operational tasks. 
  • Assume responsibility for safety protocols and emergency response during critical situations. 
  • Undergo comprehensive training in other operational areas to enhance overall facility management capabilities.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

  • Must be flexible and available to work late evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and the public.
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work effectively without direct supervision.
