Job Purpose/Summary
ASB Capital Management is a large institutional commercial real estate investment management firm. This position requires deep domain knowledge in real estate private equity and will oversee day-to-day responsibilities on managing, maintaining, and reporting on our internal data warehouse that centralizes core business data, such as leasing, appraisals, financials, receivables, performance, and debt.

Candidates must understand the real estate industry well enough to independently gather requirements from business teams and translate them into highly efficient data and reporting systems.

  • Essential Job Functions of Data Warehousing & Reporting Associate:
  • Data Warehousing & Reporting Associate will manage, maintain, and optimize on-premises SQL Server data warehouse for core business reporting.
  • Manage monthly and quarterly business processes to generate and deliver timely and accurate reporting.
  • Data Warehousing & Reporting Associate develops reports, analyses, visualizations, integrations, and automation processes for business teams.
  • Collaborate with business teams to understand data-related pain points and develop high-quality solutions.
  • Build frameworks, workflows, and tools that create efficiencies for the Data and Analytics team.
  • Achieve mastery of commercial real estate concepts and calculations, regarding leasing, financial accounting, appraisals, valuation, forecasting, budgeting, debt, derivatives and returns.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical counterparts.
  • Data Warehousing & Reporting Associate will assist with non-technical tasks that support the mission of the Data and Analytics team and/or the firm.
  • Research and advise on use cases for modern technologies, such as AI and cloud computing. 


  • Required Experience / Education / Skills of Data Warehousing & Reporting Associate:
  • 2+ years’ experience in the real estate or investment industry required
  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration
  • Passed CFA Level 1 (or MBA)
  • SQL Server
  • Advanced Excel & PowerPoint
  • Python (or VBA)
  • Tableau (or Power BI)

  • 5+ years demonstrated ability to do the following:
  • Building data warehouses to drive reporting at scale
  • Building advanced reports in Excel & PowerPoint
  • Data modeling for long-term commercial leases.
  • Building integrations with property management and appraisal systems
  • Building financial statements from general ledger data

  • The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held.  Base pay is one component of ASB Investment Management's total compensation package, which also includes access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, bonus plans and more.
