Job Highlights

Hourly Rate: USD 18 (to be paid in the candidate's local currency)

Number of Hours per week: 20 hours per week

Schedule: must be flexible to adapt to a 9 AM to 5 PM London Time

Work Arrangement: Work from home

Contract: Independent Contractor

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor”, the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will also be accountable for handling their taxes and benefits independently. The salary is calculated and offered on an hourly basis

Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality written workbooks covering mechanical, electrical/electronic, aerospace, and renewable energy engineering topics
  • Develop clear, engaging worked examples that break down complex engineering concepts
  • Re-write existing learning material in to blog style articles for the website
  • Mark & supervise student works & projects
  • Design challenging practice questions and assignments to reinforce learning objectives
  • Provide detailed, instructive solutions for all practice materials
  • Ensure content accuracy and alignment with current industry standards
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain consistency across learning materials
  • Adapt content for online learning platforms and self-paced study
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of materials based on student feedback and industry developments
  • LMS admin tasks
  • Outbound calling / emails to prospective students - to contribute to the student recruitment / sales process

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in Engineering, preferably in mechanical, electrical/electronic, aerospace, or renewable energy fields
  • Proven track record in creating educational content, particularly for engineering disciplines
  • Engineering teaching experience (college level or above)
  • Exceptional technical writing skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearly
  • Strong grasp of instructional design principles
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities (written and verbally)
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
  • Creative approach to developing engaging learning experiences
  • Experience in teaching, tutoring, or lecturing in engineering fields preferred
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools for content creation and collaboration
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to a 9 AM to 5 PM GMT work schedule (adjustable based on location)
