Ads and Data systems production engineering teams manage Ads serving, data systems pipelines, Relational databases, Data Analytics and reporting systems that carry out large- scale Ads serving, data collection, data processing, data aggregation, and reporting. Our teams are working on Big Data and Web Apps technologies that include AWS EMR, Hadoop, OOZIE, Hive, HBase, Druid, Presto, Kafka, Storm, Pig, ATS, Java, Node.js, Jetty, Kubernetes and the tools and technologies for CI/CD and configuration management.

A Lot About You

We are seeking talented engineers for managing a large-scale application, ensuring high availability, continuous performance optimization, and building robust monitoring and automation at an internet-scale. You will assist in the completion of assigned project tasks. Understand the required monitoring and automation requirements and assist in implementation. You will need to troubleshoot and solve moderate to advance problems and escalate whenever required to dev team members. Learn and understand the overall architecture of systems and come up to speed at the earliest possible with guidance from senior team members.

Your Day

• Understand existing project design, monitoring setup, and automation.
• Troubleshoot, resolve and document production issues and escalate as required.
• Collaborate with global team members to understand day-to-day tasks and issues.
• Develop and implement tools and automation for managing production systems.
• Identify and fix the gap in current monitoring and automation.
• Document processes, systems, and their associated configurations, usage of tools and automation.
• Be part of global on-call (12/7) rotation shift.
  
  

You Must Have

• 2-5 years of experience in Linux systems, web applications, distributed computing, and computer networking.
• Knowledge of Hadoop, AWS EMR, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GIT is a plus.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and team working skills
• Good coding skills in one or more of the following: BASH / Python / Java & Go
• Basic web development skills using HTML5, CSS, JQuery, node.js are desired (not mandatory).
• Problem diagnosis and resolution of moderate to advance production issues
• Strong desire to learn and understand new concepts, technologies, systems as part of day-to-day work.
