Ready to join? We are looking for a temporary Certified Medical Assistant to support a pain management practice. The assignment is scheduled to last up to 12 weeks. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The position will be based at the outpatient clinic in Westchester, IL near Oak Brook. The MAs primarily responsibilities include patient corresponding, follow-up patient calls, and occasional clinical assistant with patient flow. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service and communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Direct the flow of patients into the exam room.
  • Takes patient histories, accurately measure vital signs, including weight, height and blood pressure and carefully document in patient’s chart.
  • Keys data into computer to maintain office and patient records. 
  • Assist physician with clinic procedures as needed.
  • Hands instruments and materials to doctor as directed.
  • Give instructions to patients as instructed by Physician.
  • Prepares charts for upcoming clinics. Ensure all related reports are available in patients’ medical records prior to their appointment.
  • Triage patient calls, patient corresponding, schedule/cancel appointments as directed by the physician. 
  • Ensure rooms are cleaned between patients, as well as cleaned and stocked at the end of the day.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant medical assistant work experience required.
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures and the ability to interact with patients, physicians and co-workers.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)

Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour. Compensation at MOR is determined by many factors, which may include but are not limited to, job-related skills and level of experience, education, certifications, geographic location, market data and internal equity.
