SUMMARY:

The Sr. Manager Finance will oversee reporting and FP&A functions for Ingredient Solutions Group’s (ISG) poultry rendering division. The primary focus will be ensuring efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting, driving process automation, assisting with monthly close activities, owning annual budgets and quarterly financial projections, and fostering a collaborative environment within the finance and accounting team and with cross-functional partners. This position will be part of the Business Unit’s leadership team and will demonstrate strong business partnerships with other BU team members in sales, operations, and margin management. All the above activities are performed with an ownership mindset.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team Leadership:

• Lead and manage Finance Manager to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture between the accounting teams and operations.

Financial Planning and Analysis:

• Engage with margin management, operational business partners, and poultry FP&A to lead and support financial projections.
• Own monthly bridging processes for variance analysis and explanation.

Reporting and Analysis:

• Generate weekly variance reports and conduct in-depth analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
• Assist with weekly and monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Perform adhoc reporting for business partners.

Process Standardization and Integration:

• Oversee the continuation of process improvements and documentation.

Compliance and Risk Management

• Ensure SOX compliance.

Strategic Initiatives:

• Assist with the launch of Ty-Pro JV, contributing accounting expertise and resources to ensure a successful partnership.
• Oversee Tyson OneLab integration.
• Manage existing supply chain finance agreements and partner with sales leadership for evaluation and implementation of future agreements.
• Provide Finance Director and ISG leadership team with adhoc analysis and evaluations

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; MBA, CPA, CFA preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in accounting or finance preferred.
• Strong understanding of SAP and proficiency in related tools.
• Advanced in Power BI and related analytics tools.
• Advanced in Excel, and proficient in other office software such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of poultry rendering operations and related industry preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across various levels of management and subordinate organization.

OTHER:

Supervisory: The Sr. Manager Finance is responsible for supervising a Finance Manager and Finance Intern (indirect report) who perform similar and/or interrelated tasks and activities.

Travel: 1 or more domestic trips per year.
