As part of NX Europe Group’s expansion, we are looking to recruit an IT Technician who will work at our Brussels airport office and be a member of the European IT division that is responsible for delivering services to 16 NX companies in the EMEA region.

The ideal candidate will be the 3rd member of the Belgian IT team consisting of 2 members. The team works in collaboration with IT teams located in London, Amsterdam and Monchengladbach. For this job you will work at our head office located in Machelen and sometimes work from our other locations in Mechelen, Genk and Liège upon request.

The purpose of this role is to provide front line support to NX Belgium through up keep and maintenance of local IT services and contribute to the delivery of centralised services provided by the European IT Division. You will bring at least 3 years’ experience working within an IT helpdesk or similar role. You will have reporting duties to the IT Operations Manager (based in London) and NX Belgium Management.

  • Resolving issues and fulfilling service requests from computer users.
  • Supporting problem management and escalation to remote 2nd / 3rd line teams.
  • Promoting and supporting the European IT division’s centralised service.
  • Providing on-site IT assistance (when required) to multiple NX offices in Belgium.
  • Serve as a point-of-contact to management for local IT Project needs.
  • Procurement, configuration and commissioning of IT hardware.
  • Support in the remediation of IT security vulnerabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor-level thinking and reasoning skills, or equivalent through experience.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch (oral and written). Fluency in French is a plus.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 & 11, O365, Entra, Intune and Active Directory.
  • Considered a big plus is exposure to ITIL, SDI or equivalent IT Service Management methodology, and experience working to a security compliance framework. 
  • Effective troubleshooting, problem solving and a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and support a wide range of IT related demands. Strong interpersonal skills used to build trust in a busy and demanding environment.
  • Self-motivated with a focus on continuous professional development.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • The ability to organize, prepare, and assemble documents or reports containing data from several sources.
