Joining our ranks as Cloud Engineer / Architect AWS, you'll play a critical role in pushing the frontier of what’s possible to deliver to our customers using cloud services. In this exciting role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Designing and modernizing the landscape of existing cloud architectures;
  • Shaping recommended practices and guidelines with our internal customers;
  • Working together with peering IT teams and their business counterparts to further drive the adoption of the cloud at Continental and generate business value;
  • Collaborating with the infrastructure teams to express the needs of our customers;
  • Making sure we’re consuming the right cloud services for the use cases;
  • Optimizing overall cloud spend.
Qualifications:
  • University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related field;
  • >2 years of professional software development experience, showcased by a portfolio of previous work;
  • Previous experience in designing, building and maintaining applications in the AWS or Azure Cloud;
  • Previous experience in a customer facing role;
  • Experience programming with at least one high-level programming language (preferably Python or TypeScript);
  • Solid knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tooling, e.g. AWS CDK or Terraform;
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a team-oriented attitude;
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
