Physical Therapist (PT), First Shift, Physical Therapy Department
UC Health is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist (PT) for the Outpatient Therapy department for the first shift at Gardner Neuroscience Institute.
The major focus will be on evaluating, planning, and implement Physical Therapy treatment programs for referred patients in order to restore function, prevent disability, reduce pain, and return to his/her maximum function. Follow hospital department approved policies related to documentation, attendance, education, etc. Show respect and courtesy to all staff, patients, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Communicates effectively across age groups and cultural backgrounds, involving families in treatment planning and responding appropriately to behavioral health concerns and signs of abuse or neglect.
- Selects appropriate tools, completes individualized evaluations, and develops measurable, goal-oriented care plans aligned with patient needs and diagnoses.
- Administers treatments and operates equipment safely, reassesses progress regularly, and educates patients and caregivers on therapy goals, home exercises, and proper techniques.
- Completes timely and accurate documentation and billing, adhering to hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participates in performance improvement initiatives, mentors students and staff, attends departmental meetings, and contributes to a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum Required:
- Degree in Physical Therapy from approved APTA School.
- License to practice Physical Therapy or licensure eligible in the applicable state.
- Preferred 3 years of experience
