Equitable Bank is looking for an experienced teller to join our North Platte team. This position is a full-time position, hours will vary Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Job Summary:

Responsibilities will include processing financial transactions, providing information on our products and services, and promoting our bank's brand. The primary responsibility of this position is to build relationships with new and existing customers, accurately and efficiently complete transactions, maintain and balance a cash drawer, and provide information to customers concerning the status and history of their accounts. This is a fast-paced position and requires an individual with strong customer service, communication, technology, and organization skills as well as the ability to multi-task.


 Essential Functions:

  • Process customer transactions, including receiving deposits, verifying cash and endorsements and issuing receipts, installment loan payments, making withdrawals, cashing checks, selling money orders, and providing customer account printouts and scans work for remote capture. 
  • Handle and process large quantities of cash quickly, efficiently, and securely.
  • Effectively cross-sells the Bank’s services and products. 
  • Provides customers with access to safe deposit boxes (where applicable), answers the telephone, types or keys miscellaneous reports, forms, documents, and other correspondence as needed.
  • Responsible for opening/closing procedures of the branch.
  • Balances transactions at end of day and verifies cash totals. 
  • Completes daily current transaction report logs and necessary documentation.
  • Assists customers with questions about their account by using Banno
  • Answers phone calls timely.

 

Qualifications/Skills:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 1+ years customer service experience. 
  • Banking experience preferred. 
  • Thorough understanding of customer service. 
  • Excellent math skills. 
  • Trustworthiness and ability to act with integrity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and phone.
  • Creativity and resourcefulness.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and ensure accurate and timely completion of all tasks.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • May need to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
