Natural Resources Specialist na Cleveland Metroparks

Cleveland Metroparks is seeking applicants to work on the Natural Resources Management Crew and assist with a variety of natural resources management projects. Projects may include invasive plant removal and herbicide application, native plant installation, storm water project maintenance, leading volunteer projects, and wildlife management. This position reports to the Natural Resources Area Manager at the Strongsville Management Center, but will work at sites throughout Cleveland Metroparks. 

Essential Functions

• Assisting with projects such as:
  • Invasive plant removal and herbicide application
  • Native plant installation
  • Storm water project maintenance
  • Leading volunteer projects
  • Wildlife management
• Regular and predictable attendance is expected and required.
• Performs data entry and verification and assists in the development of reports and maps related to natural resource management or resource projects and activities as directed. Safely and competently operates and maintains equipment including but not limited to forestry measurement tools, portable data collectors and related equipment.
