The Manufacturing Engineer will lead process development and optimization for injection and blow molding operations, ensuring robust, efficient, and high-quality production performance.
Lead the launch of new products and smooth transitions from advanced engineering to production.
Develop and optimize molding processes using scientific molding principles.
Design and program end-of-arm tooling for automated part removal.
Partner with production to troubleshoot process, equipment, or tooling issues.
Support continuous improvement by engaging in line-side production boards and process reviews.
Maintain and update Visual Work Instructions and Standard Work for operators.
Create and update specifications for machine and fixture modifications.
Participate in design and layout reviews to ensure manufacturability and process flow optimization.
Collaborate with Quality to validate process changes and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
Lead updates to PFMEA, control plans, and production flow for design or process changes.
Investigate and implement countermeasures for quality or safety issues.
Stay current with evolving technology through training and technical publications.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Plastics, or related field)
OR Associate’s degree with 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience
1–5 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering (including internships), preferably in injection molding
Background in automotive, plastics, or other high-volume manufacturing environments preferred
Strong understanding of injection molding, plastics processing, and machine mechanics
Knowledge of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, material strength, and motion systems
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with CAD/design tools and process documentation
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Mechanically inclined and proactive in a hands-on production environment
