As a Solution Engineer at deepset, you'll play a crucial role in developing innovative AI-driven solutions to address significant business challenges. YOUR IMPACT

You'll collaborate closely with the sales team, by supporting Sales Engineers and prospects with use cases and troubleshooting during the Proof of Concept (POC) phase.

You'll consult clients on their product journey, assisting with the integration of our product within their organization, developing new product features (such as Haystack components), and providing technical services, like model fine-tuning.

Your goal is to ensure client satisfaction and success, making sure clients thrive with our product. You'll be the primary point of contact for clients facing technical issues, helping them resolve problems and reporting bugs to our development team.

Additionally, you'll provide technical and business insights to Product Management based on your interactions with clients.

YOUR PROFILE

• Customer-Centric Approach: experience in working and communicating effectively with external clients, and managing external-facing projects. You should be adept at tailoring your communication style to cater to the unique needs of various clients, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Consulting Skills: experience in guiding clients in their AI product journey, in leading projects, and in assisting with the technical setup of products.
• Problem-Solving: an ability to think on your feet, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide creative solutions is crucial. You should be a resourceful, and pragmatic problem-solver.
• Language requirements: fluency in German and English (both written and spoken).
• Technical Proficiency:

1.Essential:

• Solid experience using Python, especially for scripting.
• Hands-on experience in NLP and Data Science, including model fine-tuning, data preprocessing, and other data science tasks.
• Familiarity with current AI research, RAG, semantic search, and large language models

2.Nice-to-have:

• Familiarity with our open-source framework Haystack, PyTorch, HuggingFace, Llamaindex or Langchain
• Experience in designing and implementing information retrieval systems using embeddings (e.g., MiniLM), vector stores (e.g., Faiss, PineCone, Vespa), or similarity match & ranking techniques.
• Familiarity with search databases such as OpenSearch and ElasticSearch.
