Job Summary
The HR Business Partner I is responsible for overseeing the HR department and ensuring that HR practices align with the organization's goals and objectives. The position plays a critical role in developing and implementing HR strategies, managing employee relations, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, strong interpersonal skills, and in-depth HR expertise.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
• Manage the recruitment and selection process, including interviewing and hiring new employees for assigned business segments.
• Oversee employee relations, addressing grievances and fostering a positive work environment.
• Develop and monitor HR systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
• Implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Monitor and audit performance evaluations to ensure team members are being evaluated fairly and consistently
• Collaborate with department managers to ensure that job descriptions are updated and accurately represent the roles and align with the organization’s needs.
• Partner with management to align HR goals with business initiatives
Qualification Requirements
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field or SHRM certification and years of experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
Minimum Work Experience: 2-4 years of progressive HR experience in a similar role
License(s) / Certification(s): SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Experience working closely with senior leaders on a daily basis preferred
• Knowledgeable of HR best practices
• Ability to work collaboratively and influence at all levels of the organization
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• PC proficiency and able to effectively utilize MS Office 365, HR software and systems
