Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Architectural CAD Draftsman with 5+ years of expertise in preparing detailed construction drawings and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. The candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate working drawings, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting project execution from design development to construction stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review detailed architectural working drawings, GFC drawings, and construction documentation
- Develop plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings with high accuracy
- Translate design concepts into executable technical drawings
- Coordinate with architects, structural, and MEP consultants for clash-free drawings
- Ensure compliance with local codes and regulations, including Development Control and Promotion Regulations (DCPR)
- Manage drawing revisions and maintain version control
- To be verse with CAD & BIM
- Support site team with timely updates and resolve drawing-related queries
- Review shop drawings and contractor submissions
- Assist in quantity take-offs and basic BOQ coordination
- Guide and mentor junior draftsmen
Qualifications
- Diploma in Architecture / Civil Engineering or ITI Draftsman (Civil)
- Advanced certification in AutoCAD (preferred)
- 5+ years of relevant experience in architectural drafting and detailing
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)
- Working knowledge of Revit / BIM workflows (preferred)
- Excellent understanding of construction detailing and working drawings
- Knowledge of building materials, finishes, and construction techniques
- Ability to read and coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and coordination skills
