Description
- Provide complex repair, maintenance, field service and material handling expertise on a variety of hardware and equipment
- Fabricate, assemble, integrate electrical components for submersible and support craft systems
- Assemble and install complex harnesses, cable assemblies and electrical enclosures
- Conduct point-to-point continuity testing and insulation resistance measurements
- Complete fabrication tasks in cleanroom or ESD-safe environments
- Support functional testing, troubleshooting, and documentation of results per P-910 and PR-0002
- Collaborate with engineers and QA staff to resolve electrical integration issues and ensure SOC compliance
- Complete complex technical functions in support of onsite engineers to include, but not limited to, set up, operation, modification, maintenance, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, etc., of multiple systems
- Perform repair and maintenance tasks on a variety of complex components
- Install, overhaul and test equipment in accordance with customer requirements
- Provide ongoing technical assistance and support to organizational programs and projects
- Collaborate with operational levels of management, engineering, military and civilian personnel
- Identify, analyze and repair equipment failures; request the order of replacement parts as needed
- Conduct regular audits of existing systems to ensure efficiency
- Make recommendations for improvement of design and/or operation
- Comply with all security procedures and safety protocol
- Work in accordance with NAVSEA, IPC/WHMA-A-620 and AS9100D standards
- Ability to travel up to 10-20%
- Other duties as related to the business functions of FWG Solutions, as assigned
- High School diploma at minimum
- Bachelor's Degree in related field, preferred
- Willing to substitute educational requirements for U.S. Navy or DoD experience
- Active Secret clearance required
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 CIS or CIT certification
- AWS D1.1 NDT Level II or III
- Required minimum of three to five (3-5) years of relevant professional experience
- Some experience in U.S. Navy or other DoD environment
- Working knowledge of the NAVSEA, IPC/WHMA-A-620 and AS9100D standards
- Excellent communications skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Must have the ability to interact with senior leaders within the organization
- Ability to maneuver larger objects with human/equipment assistance
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge and expertise in submersible and support craft systems
- This position includes physical activity, personnel must be able to work in environments with the following conditions: repetitive motion, ventilated spaces, heavy lifting, traversing ladders and inclines/declines, climbing/crawling/navigating small and confined spaces, working in kneeling positions, frequent standing, working in hot workspaces due to natural or manmade environments
