What you will get to do:
- Review customer drawings and specifications to identify manufacturability concerns
- Build prototypes and pilot runs to verify manufacturability and process efficiency
- Develop production documentation, fixtures, and operating instructions for high-quality manufacturing
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure processes meet customer and internal requirements
- Support the development of PPAP documentation (Control Plans, PFMEA, Process Flows, part layouts, etc.)
- Assist with ERP data management, including BOM creation, routing, and assembly item setup
- Participate in process reviews, production hand-offs, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate with quality and purchasing to ensure compliance with ROHS/REACH and other environmental requirements
What will make you successful:
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience in Electrical or Industrial Manufacturing/Engineering
- Strong knowledge of engineering procedures, process capability studies (DOEs), and change control
- Ability to analyze drawings and CAD data to determine design and manufacturing requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to recommend appropriate components, tooling, fixtures, and materials based on product requirements
- Strong computer skills, including MS Excel; experience with ERP systems (PLEX preferred)
- Experience with wire harness industry standards and workmanship guidelines (WHMA/IPC 620) preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD preferred
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools preferred
- Prior experience in NPI or prototype builds preferred
