Chief Data Officer
The Chief Data Officer (CDO) leads the enterprise data strategy, driving innovation through AI, large language models (LLMs), and data science. This role is responsible for modernizing data platforms, establishing robust governance, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Defines and executes enterprise data strategy aligned with business goals.
- Leads adoption of AI/ML, including generative AI and LLMs, to enhance operations and customer experience.
- Builds and scales data science capabilities for predictive analytics and business insights.
- Oversees modernization of data infrastructure and cloud-based platforms.
- Establishes and enforces data governance, quality, and compliance standards.
- Collaborates with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to ensure data protection.
- Partners with business and technology leaders to embed data into strategic initiatives.
- Recruits and leads a high-performing team of data professionals.
- Tracks and reports data performance metrics to executive leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in data architecture
- Prior experience in data engineering or data analytics
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in data architecture
- Experience driving innovation through AI/ML, automation, advanced analytics
- Experience mentoring and leading teams as a trusted technical advisor
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Banking or Financial Services Industry experience
