Job Description:At Syngenta, our goal is to build the most collaborative and trustworthy team in agriculture, providing top-quality seeds and innovative crop protection solutions that improve farmers' success. To support this mission, Syngenta’s Direct Procurement team is seeking a Direct Procurement Buyer in Vicente Lopez, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Accountabilities
1. Direct Materials Procurement
- Lead purchasing processes
- Optimize cost-benefit ratios
- Ensure quality standards
- Monitor delivery timelines
2. Strategic Supplier Management
- Build and maintain key partnerships
- Coordinate performance evaluations and audits
- Negotiate agreements
- Drive supplier development programs
3. Category Management
- Handle high-value purchasing categories
- Analyze supplier markets
- Identify cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure policy compliance
4. Strategic Analysis & Planning
- Develop sourcing strategies
- Perform spend analysis
- Manage budget and forecasts
- Monitor market trends and pricing
Required
- Minimum 3 years in purchasing/procurement
- Experience negotiating high-value contracts
- Knowledge in supplier management and strategic sourcing
- Advanced Excel
- Advanced English (written and spoken)
- Knowledge of regulations and compliance
Desired
- Chemical/agrochemical industry experience
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Knowledge of Power BI
- Knowledge of Portuguese
