Description
The Mobile Service Travel Team Manager leads a specialized team of Mobile Sales and Service Technicians (MSST’s) deployed to high-priority field service projects across multiple regions. This position ensures that field technicians are properly scheduled, equipped, and supported to deliver high-quality service to customers in various industries, including construction, mining, and manufacturing. Compensation will include base salary and 3% sales commission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Coordination
- Manage and schedule a team of MSST’s for short- and long-term travel-based assignments based on technician availability, skill set, and location.
- Oversee technician performance, training, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for field teams during deployments.
- Monitor job progress and adjust schedules to meet customer needs and optimize efficiency.
- Project Management
- Plan and execute service operations for special projects requiring multiple technicians through all stages from quote to invoice.
- Coordinate logistics including travel, lodging, equipment, and inventory.
- Liaise with customers, internal departments, and vendors to ensure project success.
- Operational Oversight
- Monitor service delivery, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely completion of work.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, expenses, and customer feedback.
- Ensure DOT compliance and adherence to company policies.
- Customer Relations
- Research and develop new customer and project opportunities through site visits, industry events and professional networking.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients on-site.
- Provide updates, resolve concerns, and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in mobile hydraulic hose service or related field.
- 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, hose assembly, and field service operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience managing teams in remote or high-pressure environments.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and safety compliance.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Technical background in hydraulics or mechanical systems is a plus.
