Description
- Manage all daily warehouse functions, including receiving, shipping, kitting, prepping, material handling, and inventory control.
- Ensure all work orders, transfers, and shipments are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Monitor workflow and adjust resources to meet changing priorities and production demands.
- Collaborate with planning, production, and QA to ensure smooth interdepartmental coordination.
- Oversee proper handling and storage of materials, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance workflow, productivity, and space utilization.
- Support ongoing initiatives such as footprint-based location management, and system improvements/integrations.
- Collaborate on continuous improvement projects, including aisle-based cut/splice operations.
- Utilize data tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel, WMS reports) to monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive data-based decisions.
- Ensure accuracy of all inventory transactions, including receipts, picks, transfers, and cycle counts.
- Partner with QA and Purchasing to maintain high standards of product quality and documentation compliance.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional problem-solving sessions, and operational review meetings to identify and resolve systemic issues.
- Prepare and present operational metrics, improvement plans, and corrective actions to senior management and cross-site teams.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment aligned with company and 5s standards.
- Ensure all equipment and materials are handled safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with EH&S for safety training, risk assessments, and audits to reinforce a safety-first culture.
- Conduct regular coaching, performance evaluations, and cross-training to enhance workforce flexibility across entire Warehouse Operations.
- Facilitate communication and alignment between warehouse teams, ensuring consistent standards and best practices are shared between Warehouse Operations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors, team leads, and hourly associates to achieve departmental KPIs.
- Promote a positive, high-performance culture built on teamwork, accountability, and respect.
- Conduct regular coaching, performance evaluations, and cross-training to strengthen workforce flexibility.
- High School Diploma, GED or international equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of warehouse or distribution management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of warehouse systems (WMS, ERP) — SAP S4/Hana EWM experience preferred
- Proven track record in process improvement, inventory control, and cross-departmental coordination
- Experience leading diverse teams in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications and exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
- Forklift certification or familiarity with MHE operations preferred
- On-time shipment and receipt performance
- Inventory accuracy and discrepancy reduction
- Quality metrics (RMAs)
- Safety compliance and incident rate
- Team performance, engagement, and retention
- Timely completion of problem-resolution actions and follow-up presentations
