Job Purpose & Scope:

Provides strategic technology leadership for the Bank’s Consumer Lending line of business, including products such as auto loans, home equity lines of credit, and unsecured or related digital lending. Develops and executes technology strategies that align with enterprise architecture, data, model development, and cybersecurity standards to drive efficient delivery of technology-enabled capabilities that advance the Consumer Lending business strategy.

Essential Job Functions:
  1. Partners with Consumer Lending leadership to define and maintain a multi-year technology roadmap aligned to business growth, risk appetite, and digital strategy.
  2. Serves as the primary technology advisor to Consumer Lending leadership, translating business objectives into actionable technology initiatives.
  3. Evaluates emerging technologies (AI, automation, decisioning engines, customer analytics, etc.) to enhance customer experience and credit decisioning capabilities.
  4. Supports strategic planning, investment prioritization, and technology financial management for the Consumer Lending portfolio.
  5. Oversees all technology initiatives supporting Consumer Lending products and processes, including origination, underwriting, servicing, collections, and customer engagement platforms.
  6. Drives simplification and modernization of the Consumer Lending application ecosystem —reducing technical debt and improving scalability.
  7. Maintains a strong control environment that aligns with FFIEC, OCC, and CFPB expectations for technology and data management.
  8. Partners with various internal teams to ensure timely and in-budget project delivery, provide internal and regulatory compliance oversight, and coordinate integrations with digital channels, data analytics, and CRM systems.
  9. Manages key technology vendor relationships supporting Consumer Lending (e.g. LOS, decisioning engines, credit bureaus, document management, e-signature platforms) and ensures vendor performance, SLAs, and contract terms align with enterprise standards and risk appetite.
  10. Provides transparency into Consumer Lending technology budgets, forecast future needs, and identify efficiency opportunities.
  11. Supports leadership initiatives and performs other duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  1. Comprehensive knowledge of lending systems, workflow automation, credit decisioning, data integration, and regulatory requirements, including the FFIEC Examination Manual, as they relate to consumer lending.
  2. Ability to provide transparent reporting of technology budgets, forecast future financial requirements, and identify opportunities for operational efficiency.
  3. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff, including executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
  4. Ability to contribute to enterprise strategy development and advise leadership on emerging technological needs, trends, and capabilities.
  5. Ability to collaborate effectively with various business units and coordinate or participate in multi-functional projects.
  6. Ability to demonstrate initiative to accomplish work objectives.
  7. Ability to utilize discretion and sound judgment in decision making and maintain confidentiality.
  8. Ability to meet stringent deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  9. Ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Strong problem solving, project and vendor management, and organizational skills.
  11. Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Basic Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or commensurate work experience, required. Master’s degree preferred.
  2. 7+ years of experience in technical project management or technology development, leadership, or consultation in support of consumer lending or credit card operations within financial services, required.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with cloud-based loan origination systems, digital lending platforms, and AI-driven analytics, preferred.
  2. Experience delivering large-scale technology initiatives in a regulated environment, preferred.
