Schedule: Part-Time / Shift: Days (24hr: 6:45a.m.- 7:15p.m. with every other weekend)

The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Orlando
- Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando

The role you’ll contribute:
The CxC Virtual Care Nurse coordinates care, educates clients, and provides protocol-driven interventions within the scope of practice that have direct influence on clinical and whole health outcomes. It is a dynamic and systemic collaborative approach to providing and coordinating health care services to a defined population across the continuum. Responsibilities include virtual assessment of healthcare needs, collaboration, and coordination with health care providers, and development of a plan of care with accurate documentation of these activities. Expectations of this role include providing exceptional customer service, striving to anticipate and meet the needs of consumers, treating all consumers and colleagues with dignity and respect, and working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve quality and performance standards. The nurse reports to department leadership and maintains a working knowledge of service offerings, service workflows, and technologies necessary to perform all job functions. Certified interpreter (Spanish) - Preferred
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Demonstrates excellent customer-care skills and provides virtual clinical care within the nursing scope of practice.
- Utilizes critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to provide triage to symptomatic consumers in accordance with scope of practice.
- Elicits questions, concerns, and information from callers to assess symptoms, determine acuity, identify appropriate algorithm/protocol, and develop patient care plans and follow-up.
- Provides professional advice, education, and options based on assessment, established algorithm/protocol, and clinical judgment; escalates interactions to emergency response services when appropriate.
- Provides referrals to healthcare providers and community resources when appropriate; assists with follow-up or appointment scheduling when needed.
- Utilizes proper escalations when issues arise.
- Adheres to all established workflows, scripting, and department greetings.
- Documents all interactions and consistently updates consumer records in the relevant technology system(s).
- Provides courteous responses and excellent customer service when fielding inquiries from consumers, clinic staff, physicians, colleagues, and leaders.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Required:
Associate's degree in nursing
- Multistate Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Strong attention to detail and ability to take initiative to resolve inquiries and issues
- Demonstrated personal commitment to promoting and providing excelled customer service
- Demonstrated interpersonal, customer relations, and communication skills; remains patient while interacting with consumers and colleagues
- Exhibits desire to continuously learn, improve service delivery, and work in a team environment
- Ability to listen and document notes simultaneously
- Maintains high energy and positive attitude
- Adapts quickly to change and balances multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrates regular, consistent and punctual attendance
- Effective communicator in English, both orally and in writing
- Ability to type at a speed of 45 words per minute, at minimum
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite programs and Adobe
- Technological aptitude to master additional programs and technologies, including CRM, telephony, electronic health records, and other potential systems
