We’re looking for a driven and commercially minded Account Executive who will take ownership of converting inbound, referred leads and outbound opportunities into long-term customers.

The Opportunity
As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle, identifying, engaging, and closing opportunities across inbound and outbound channels, while building strong relationships and pipeline opportunities.
We want you to be comfortable conducting discovery conversations with founders, Senior finance leaders and CEO’s at growing SMEs, understanding their funding challenges and guiding them through the Financefair solution.
You’ll combine commercial instinct with financial insight, assessing credit data, understanding portfolio risk, and converting qualified leads into lasting customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery and qualification calls with CEOs, FDs, FCs, and founders to uncover funding needs and assess fit.
- Build and maintain a high-quality sales pipeline that delivers the required monthly forecast coverage in both opportunity volume and revenue value.
- Engage with qualified inbound, referral, and outbound opportunities across all Financefair channels to drive new customer acquisition.
- Proactively generate new qualified opportunities through targeted outbound outreach to Financefair’s high-potential account (HPA) segments.
- Convert inbound, referred, and outbound opportunities into new business through consultative, insight-led sales.
- Analyse client financial data (accounting systems, open banking feeds, management accounts) to evaluate funding suitability.
- Collaborate with credit, operations, and tech teams to ensure a smooth and transparent process from application to funding.
- Maintain a clean and accurate CRM pipeline, tracking conversion metrics and forecasting performance.
- Identify upsell or repeat funding opportunities and support clients across multiple drawdowns.
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with SME clients through responsiveness, credibility, and deep product knowledge.
What You’ll Bring
- 4+ years’ experience in a commercial, finance, or fintech environment (sales, lending, or capital advisory).
- Confidence leading high-level conversations with executive stakeholders.
- Strong financial and analytical acumen, comfortable interpreting financial statements and cash flow profiles.
- Proven track record converting leads into revenue, ideally within short-cycle B2B or financial services sales.
- Tech-savvy mindset with familiarity in digital tools, CRMs, and data-driven selling.
- Self-starter attitude, resilient, accountable, and motivated by achieving results.
- High integrity, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit.
