About the role:
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our us and support a broad team of qualified technical consultants responsible for design and documentation. This role covers Mechanical building service systems and provides support in areas of commissioning and operations. Supporting in procedural and process management as well as analytical coordination with peering groups covering Property Management, Project Management and HSE.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate across Engineering, Construction, Facilities, and ICT groups to ensure delivery and operations of optimised data center solutions, services and functionality, therefore facilitating growth and scalability of our core business.
- Perform mechanical engineering design which may include engineering drawings, calculations, reports, design criteria, to support engineering projects.
- Contribute to the development of mechanical systems, through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering project documents and client presentations pertaining to specific project deliverables.
- Deliver tender and For Construction design documentation with assistance from consultants.
- Ensure all mechanical system architectures are designed in accordance with industry best practice method being applied for industrial controls systems adopted within critical infrastructure & utility environments.
- Assist in the new projects and upgrade activities, through lifecycle management, ensuring continual resilience and accuracy of data center system control platforms.
- Work in collaboration with internal business verticals including Operational Site Management teams and Technology teams to ensure all generational improvement, enhancement and training deliver optimised and functional outcomes.
About you:
- Tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering or mechatronic engineering
- 4+ years' experience in engineering consultancy, preferably on data center or critical infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of building services design installation and operation.
- Ability to document engineering principles via drawing and specifications.
- Display key personal qualities including the ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, Navisworks, REVIT or similar CAD programs
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Essential:
- Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
