Job Summary:

The position of Bilingual (English/Spanish) Loan Coordinator is responsible for working in a small team environment to assist loan officers in the day to day preparation, execution, and follow-up of all aspects of loan documentation.  The Loan Coordinator II is also responsible to work within a larger team environment by helping other bank personnel in expanding customer relationships and exceeding customer service expectations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Exhibit a sense of urgency to provide the finest customer service at all times and in all forms of verbal and written communication
  • Greet customers and direct them to proper individuals
  • Answer phones in a timely manner and efficiently deal with direct customer contact/requests
  • Assist Loan Officers in their daily work by:
    • Assisting Customers in filling out loan or credit applications
    • Accurately preparing/reviewing documentation needed for loan closings
    • Obtaining required third-party documents
    • Coordinating loan closings
    • Preparing and scheduling loan extensions
    • Assisting customers with loan and deposit account maintenance
  • Process Consumer Loans
  • Provide notary service
  • Perform all other tasks requested as they relate to the Bank and its functions.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

 

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Compliance:

 

All Team Members are accountable for compliance with all laws, regulations and adherence to established internal controls and procedures when performing their job duties.  Each Team Member is expected to be familiar with the legal and regulatory requirements and internal controls affecting his or her job responsibilities.  It is the affirmative duty of each Team Member to carry out these responsibilities at all times in a manner that complies with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and internal controls.   All Team Members shall be responsible for communicating upward, problems in operations, noncompliance with the code of conduct, or other policy violations or illegal actions.  Team Members must participate in required training on pertinent compliance laws and regulations as required by Signature Bank of Arkansas.

All Team Members will be committed to maintaining a high level of compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti Money Laundering, USA PATRIOT Act and Financial Recordkeeping regulations recognizing that all three acts are important tools in federal efforts to combat organized crime, terrorism and drug trafficking.

 

Qualifications


Education / Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree required; additional post-secondary education or training in courses related to the financial services industry is highly desirable
  • One year banking experience and loan experience required

 

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

 

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize the work assignments according to importance.
  • Ability to effectively communicate bilingually in a courteous and professional manner, both written and oral, in English and Spanish before groups of customers, team members, and management of the Bank.
  • Ability to satisfactorily perform all duties and responsibilities listed above within a reasonable time frame.
  • Ability to project friendly, courteous, and professional image.
  • Effective listening skills
  • Sound reasoning and judgment skills with the ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to utilize all necessary software applications as well as Microsoft Office
  • Good interpersonal communication skills to effectively relate to all levels of the Bank staff
