The Temporary Payroll Clerk supports the Payroll Department in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees. This position will assist with day-to-day payroll operations, provide front-line support to staff inquiries, and help maintain organized and compliant payroll records.
- Answer and triage calls to the payroll help desk, resolving or routing inquiries as appropriate.
- Perform filing, data entry, and general administrative support for the payroll team.
- Audit payroll records and assist in identifying and correcting errors.
- Process payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare and issue miscellaneous payroll checks, including sign-on bonuses and employee referral awards.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with all payroll policies and procedures.
- 1–2 years of previous payroll experience required.
- Experience using Ceridian Dayforce preferred.
- Moderate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
