About the Role

The Vice President of Client Business Intelligence will take ownership of the firm’s enterprise sales data, helping the organization manage & enrich data from multiple sources, build reporting (including visualizations) to support business initiatives and sales compensation, enhance the CRM (Salesforce) capabilities and produce analytics which empower business decision-makers. The Business Intelligence team resides within the sales organization and serves to utilize data to drive business decisions and enhance sales productivity by developing and communicating key insights to senior stakeholders, decision makers and sales management. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical skills, an understanding of business strategies, priorities and initiatives, and a willingness to learn. The candidate should demonstrate an understanding of multiple databases, data flows and relationships across multiple sources; have a strong ability to build collaborative relationships; and communicate effectively with business and IT leaders, project members, and vendors to assure success. The ideal candidate must also be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and projects. 

Key Responsibilities

Includes the following, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to organize the firm’s enterprise data into a centralized repository/database, allowing for cleansing and enrichment before feeding it to our CRM system.
  • Work with the Head of Sales Enablement to create and implement business processes and logic for critical data functions, including ingestion of new data packs, validation of our sales/asset data, and integration of key data points into Salesforce and other reporting tools.  
  • Work with sales leadership to identify key datapoints and the workflow to push snapshot data from the database into Salesforce to provide the sales organization and management team with a better understanding of our client base.
  • Design, implement, and maintain reporting, calculation, and troubleshooting process for sales compensation in collaboration with sales leadership and accounting. 
  • Develop and communicate actionable insights to key stakeholders including sales teams, sales leadership and marketing to aid their ability to make strategic decisions.
  • Conduct current state assessments by collecting information on data sources, data flows, information consumption, and information production.
  • Design and development of metrics, reporting, visualizations, dashboards and CRM enhancements to support the sales organization.
  • Proactively analyze data to answer key stakeholder questions and generate views on what drives business performance, efficiency and productivity.
  • Leverage business knowledge with technical skills to offer solutions in partnership with business and IT teams to deliver technology-related outcomes.
  • Troubleshoots issues related to reporting, business intelligence, data integrity and CRM functionality.
  • Develop business automation and process reengineering.

Qualifications

Experience/Education:

  • 10+ years of industry experience, including 5+ years in a senior sales data role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Analytics, or related field required.
  • Fundamental understanding of the asset management industry is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in data aggregation and analysis within the asset management industry.

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Proven track record in data architecture and management
  • Working knowledge of PowerBI, SQL, and combining datasets using visual ETL tools or coding experience.
  • Proficiency in design and implementation of digital dashboards and static reports
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce.com
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments
  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and in a timely manner with all levels of the organization.
  • High attention to detail, excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Self-motivated and intellectually curious, and adaptable.
  • Professional demeanor.

The base salary range for this position is based on skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. It is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. It also participates in the Firm's 401(k) and Profit-Sharing Plan.
