Ideal candidates are located in the Houston, TX or Tulsa, OK areas. This role can be remote or seated at one of our office locations. Travel up to 50% is required.

Position Summary:  

IAG is seeking a motivated, results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead client acquisition efforts within our Cathodic Protection Pipeline Maintenance and Integrity Services Division.

This role is ideal for a candidate with a proven track record of generating new business, expanding client relationships, and closing high-value deals within the pipeline construction, maintenance, or inspection industries.

Key Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow IAG’s pipeline construction and integrity services business.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new customers across oil & gas, midstream, and energy infrastructure markets.
  • Promote IAG’s full range of construction, inspection, and maintenance solutions with professionalism and deep market understanding.
  • Establish, strengthen, and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and exceptional client satisfaction.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand market presence and build strategic partnerships.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and client interactions within the CRM system.
  • Provide support, communication, and technician follow-up for internal requests, such as ADP, KPA Training, Concur, and general reminders to ensure deadlines stay on track. 
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints with department leadership.
  • Acts as a liaison between company, employees, and customers.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Confidence to STOP work when a problem is immediately identified.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 

  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email communication.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with data management environments including databases, cloud-based solutions, and other mobile platform-based systems used for data collection
  • Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Management Responsibilities: 

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities. 

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications): 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field — or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3+ years of successful sales experience in pipeline construction, inspection, or related energy services.
  • Proven ability to prospect, negotiate, and close deals with new clients.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools for sales tracking and client management.
  • A strong understanding of pipeline construction processes, inspection, and integrity services is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to meet clients, attend meetings, and visit project sites.

Environmental/Working Conditions: 

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • May be required to travel to field office locations.
  • Remote work environment. 

Other Considerations/Requirements: 

  • This is a full-time, salaried position.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically as business dictates, this will be minimal and short-term.
  • Must meet minimum company requirements to operate a company vehicle and be eligible for coverage under Company insurance program. 
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position may require overtime.
