CPower’s Sales Operations team is seeking a Sales Operations Intern to assist in the development of world class Business Intelligence and Performance reporting across multiple areas of Sales and Marketing. This role will work with various CPower stakeholders to enable the availability of data from various systems. The enablement of this data to the CPower Team will equip our business stakeholders with readily available data to make decisions to best support the company. This individual should be able to coordinate requirements gathering, gap analysis, and be inquisitive to understand the business process to develop optimal dashboards. In addition, this role requires individuals to communicate effectively to both non-technical and technical team members across functional teams including executive management. They will be expected to support education and training to the end users of the dashboard in partnership with the Sales Operations Training team. Success for this intern would be to deliver at least 5 operational reports by the conclusion of their internship.
Program Overview
This paid internship program will run for 11 weeks beginning June 1, 2026 and ending August 14, 2026.
This is a hybrid position with the intern working remotely and at our Baltimore office three days a week (Tues/Wed/Thurs).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Support the development of sales dashboards, performance reports, and competitive intelligence analysis using PowerBI and CRM tools.
- Process Improvement: Assist in documenting and optimizing sales workflows, commission processes, and quota management systems.
- Market Research: Conduct competitive analysis on companies like Voltus and other CSPs, tracking market trends and product offerings.
- Sales Enablement: Help create sales materials, tools, and resources that support field teams in customer conversations about capacity demand response, and DER participation.
- Cross-functional Projects: Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Product, and Market teams on initiatives supporting sales effectiveness.
- Content Creation: Contribute to internal communications such as the Sales (Ops) Drop newsletter and other knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Customer Analytics: Assist with whitespace identification, revenue projections, and customer segmentation analysis.
Requirements
- Current university student or recent graduate majoring in Math, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or related field.
- Strong critical / analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in manipulating data using Python, SQL.
- Excellent facilitation and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills and the ability to apply these concepts to practical business situations.
