ResQ is looking for our first Sales hire to launch đ and lead a brand new vertical focused on SMB Commercial Trades. This is a rare opportunity to take a promising product from early concept to market fit, shape the future of ResQâs expansion beyond restaurants, and help us build something that could redefine how trades businesses grow and operate.
As our Founding Account Executive, youâll be responsible for executing our go-to-market strategy, creating meaningful partnerships with top local and regional trades vendors, and driving new đ°revenue for the business.
Youâll be joining a high-impact team that fuels much of ResQâs growth, and your work will directly influence how we evolve our product, pricing, and positioning in this new market.

Being the first Sales rep to sell into the trades vertical
Taking a half-baked product and identifying the real value propositions that resonate with trades professionals
Enjoying conversations with contractors, service business owners, and vendors to uncover pain points and match them to the right solutions
Thriving in an environment of testing, iterating, failing, winning, and learning â often all in the same week
Tracking every metric, conversion, and insight because this role is as much about discovery as it is about selling
Rolling with constant change and helping the team use your feedback to get closer to product-market fit
What you will do:
Outbound Sales Execution: Drive a predominantly outbound motion â generating leads, qualifying, demoing, onboarding, and closing. Youâll thrive if youâre metrics-driven, resourceful, and relentless about hitting your targets.
Calibrate for Market Fit: Youâll take the strategy weâve outlined and bring it to life. Experiment with creative ways to build trust, overcome objections, and create urgency. Weâll look to you to help us understand what works and what doesnât.
Build Relationships: Be the face of ResQ by developing trusted partnerships with our customers.
Feed Market Intelligence: Share on-the-ground insights to help our product and strategy evolve quickly. Your feedback loop will directly influence what we build next.
Who you are:
We know that success in Sales doesnât always correlate with years of experience, we value attitude and adaptability first.
3+ years of experience in an outbound sales role within a fast-growth or startup environment
Experience communicating or selling to commercial trades professionals is a strong asset
Ability to distill complex or early-stage product features into clear, compelling value propositions
Data driven mindset: you live in your CRM and track every metric that drives performance
Comfortable working in ambiguity, adjusting your approach as we learn and evolve.
Nice to haves:
Familiarity with sales tools like Salesforce
Understanding of sales frameworks (e.g., Josh Braun, Challenger, Sales EQ)
Experience in or selling to the trades industry (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
A track record of successfully launching or selling early-stage products
