Project Finance Manager – Sun Atlas Power (EPC Division)

We are seeking a Project Finance Manager with strong solar finance expertise to manage financial structuring, project funding, and lender coordination across our EPC and distribution business. This role serves as a key link between project development, operations, and finance—ensuring each project is financially viable and compliant with lender and incentive requirements from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

Project Finance & Structuring

• Develop and evaluate financial models for solar EPC and distribution projects, ensuring accuracy and profitability.
  
  

• Validate loan and financing structures (TPO, PPA, and direct loan) to confirm project feasibility at the point of sale.
  
  

• Coordinate funding timelines and ensure milestone-based documentation (NTP, COD, PTO) is complete and accurate.
  
  

• Maintain relationships with financing partners, banks, and investors to facilitate project funding and compliance.
  
  

• Oversee the submission of financial data, reporting packages, and project funding requests.
  
  

Lender & Partner Coordination

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related financial communications with lenders and finance partners.
  
  

• Track loan approval, disbursement, and repayment schedules to align with project milestones.
  
  

• Support audits and due diligence requests from external financing partners.
  
  

• Ensure compliance with lender requirements, credit policies, and project-level financial covenants.
  
  

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Collaborate with accounting and FP&A to ensure accurate project cost tracking, revenue recognition, and profitability analysis.
  
  

• Prepare financial summaries and performance reports for leadership and external stakeholders.
  
  

• Align with AP/AR to coordinate project collections, vendor payments, and financing documentation.
  
  

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with operations, design, and project management teams to align financial milestones with project execution.
  
  

• Support compliance with tax incentives (ITC/PTC) and state-level solar incentive programs.
  
  

• Collaborate with marketing and operations to improve customer and partner communication related to financing.
  
  

Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years of experience in project finance, solar finance, or renewable energy financial management.
  
  

• Strong understanding of solar financing structures, milestone funding (NTP, COD, PTO), and incentive programs.
  
  

• Proven experience working with lenders, investors, or structured finance partners.
  
  

• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  
  

• Proficiency with Excel financial modeling and CRM or ERP tools for project tracking.
  
  

Preferred

• Established relationships with solar finance providers or institutional lenders.
  
  

• Background in structured finance, underwriting, or project valuation.
  
  

• Familiarity with EPC project accounting and milestone-based billing.
  
  

• NABCEP or other solar industry certification is a plus.
