Senior Engineering Specialist presso CivilCorp, LLC

CivilCorp, LLC is a professional service firm offering civil engineering and land surveying services throughout Texas. CivilCorp’s main office is in Victoria, Texas, with offices in Houston, Fulshear, Corpus Christi and Round Rock. CivilCorp is seeking a Senior Engineering Specialist to join our team in the Fulshear, TX office.  This is a great opportunity to continue to grow your career with a well-established firm! 

Responsibilities:

• Provide CAD oversight and assist engineers and design staff with civil design focused primarily on Transportation projects. 
• Ensures compliance with applicable federal and state laws, policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.  
• Acts as a Lead CAD Technician and assists the Engineering Manager in the supervision of other staff in project development.

Qualifications:

• Experience in designing highway and freeway design projects (PS&E), including horizontal and vertical geometry design, Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD) modeling, culvert and drainage design, retaining wall design, quantity calculations, miscellaneous details and development of deliverables.
• Credible design experience in using and guiding the use of: Microstation, GeoPak (Road and Drainage), OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and ProjectWise.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and highway design programs required for use in completing tasks.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments both independently and within a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working experience in prioritizing and organizing work assignments.
• Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.  

Preferred:

• Associate degree or higher in civil engineering or a related field.
• Recent experience with and knowledge of TxDOT standards, specifications, policies, and procedures.
