Position Summary:
LECO wouldn’t be an industry leader without its successful sales team. We’re seeking a qualified Regional Manager who would serve as the bridge between the regional sales team and headquarters to oversee operations and performance within the following States: Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont and manage several sales engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the sales process and play a key role in all field sales before, during, and after the sales process for LECO’s laboratory solutions for Metallurgical, Spectroscopy, Thermal, and Elemental Analysis. The successful candidate will ensure company goals are met, manage staff, and maintain operational efficiency as a bridge between headquarters. This role involves strategic planning, performance monitoring, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate will reside in Pittsburgh, PA.
Position Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, mentor and direct activities for Sales Engineers within the Eastern Region.
- Help define and generate strategies to lead and achieve sales targets/goals while creating corrective actions/strategies when sales objectives are not achieved.
- Report and interpret data and analysis on product, customer, competition, funding dynamics, and territory trends in sales and pricing as needed to drive effective business management.
- Maintain and utilize the CRM to develop opportunities, maintain dynamic customer history, generate activities, and report overall progress within each territory.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze data and KPI’s, and create reports for upper management.
- Review and participate in trade shows, regional seminars, and similar events as required.

Position Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in direct field sales, preferably in a leadership/management role, within an industrial laboratory equipment market.
- Ability to inspire, guide, and motivate a sales team.
- Deep knowledge of sales principles, negotiation, and the sales funnel.
- Ability to develop and execute tactical plans that align with broader corporate objectives.
- Proficiency in analyzing data to make informed, data-driven decisions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members, customers and executives.
- Experience with CRM software (Salesforce).
- Ability to work & travel within USA without restrictions.
- Requires up to 50% travel
Education/Certifications:
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree with preference toward the Sciences focused on Materials Science and/or chemistry
